Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes. You will receive a tax receipt for one-time donations of $20 or more by email in 3-5 business days. Tax receipts for monthly donations are sent monthly as well.

Can I leave a donation to a specific area?

We encourage you to first consider an undesignated donation, which gives us the flexibility to give funds in the areas of greatest need. However, if you do decide to designate your donation to a specific area, we can make sure your donation goes to the area you want it to.

The Foundation applies a fee of 10 percent to all designated donations. The 10 percent fee significantly enhances our capacity to raise and grant funds for the highest priority needs within our healthcare community. It further enables us to cover essential administrative costs such as stewardship, granting, and reporting, ensuring the sustainability of our operations.

What does the 10% administrative fee go to on restricted donations?

This administrative fee gives Calgary Health Foundation flexibility in strategic investments, giving increased flexibility for charitable disbursements. This fee is aligned with industry standards which means 90% of restricted funds will go directly to charitable disbursements.

Who should I contact if I want to cancel or change my monthly donation?

If you need to make a change or cancel your monthly donation, contact us at: give@calgaryhealthfoundation.ca or call (403)943-0615.

Who do I contact if I want to run an event on behalf of the Foundation?
